Sri Lanka cricket team in Dhaka
Eid in Bangladesh is not over yet. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan cricket team came to spread the remnants of cricket. The Lankans are now in Dhaka to play a three-match ODI series.

This series is being organized in the bio-safety zone as usual during the epidemic. The Sri Lankans reached the team hotel after the formalities at the airport. They will have to stay there for three days now.
At this time they will be tested in two phases. They will be able to practice from Wednesday, subject to being negative in the test.
After two days of practice, the Lankans will play a warm-up match at BKSP next Friday. The main series starts from 23rd May.
The next two matches of the series will be played on May 25 and 26. All the matches will be played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. All day and night matches.
This is the second international series in Bangladesh during the Kovid epidemic. The West Indies team toured in January-February.
With this series, the Lankans have changed the opening team of the ODI team. With the 2023 World Cup in mind, they have formed a youth-based team, with aggressive keeper-batsman Kusal Perera as captain. Kusal Mendis has been appointed as the vice-captain.
The last captain Dimuth Koranaratne, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Suranga Lakmal did not get a place in the team. The 31-year-old cricketer has only one pacer in the squad, Isuru Udana.
Sri Lanka team: Kusal Perera (captain), Kusal Mendis (vice-captain), Danushka Gunathilaka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Pathum Nisanka, Dasun Shanaka, Ashen Bandara, Vanindu Hasaranga, Isuru Udana, Akila Dananjaya, Nirosham, Nirosham , Asitha Fernando, Laksan Sandakan, Chamika Karunaratne, Binura Fernando, Shiran Fernando
