A patient named Bimal Chandra Dey (60), who was returning to India from the institutional quarantine in Jessore, has died. He died at Balaka Hotel in Jessore suburb around 5:15 pm today. Last Thursday, a person in the institutional quarantine died in Jessore. 

Jessore Civil Surgeon said. Sheikh Abu Shaheen confirmed the matter and said that Bimal Chandra Dey was a last stage patient of cancer.

Bimal Chandra Dey is the son of Gouranga Chandra of Palang area of ​​Shariatpur Sadar. He was accompanied by his wife and son in quarantine.

According to health department sources, Bimal Chandra was suffering from lung cancer. He went to India with his wife and son for treatment. On May 8, they returned to the country through Benapole. On the same day, they were kept in the institutional quarantine at Balaka Hotel in Jessore suburb. He fell ill this afternoon. He was admitted to the Chest Disease Hospital at 4.45 pm. There he died.

Jessore Civil Surgeon Sheikh Abu Shaheen said Bimal Chandra was in the last stages of lung cancer. When he fell ill, he was taken to the hospital. He died at around 5:15 pm.

He said Bimal Chandra, his wife and son tested negative for antigen. Samples have also been collected for PCR tests of each of them. Bimal Chandra's body was sent to Shariatpur with the help of his wife and son.

Earlier on May 13, a cancer patient named Ambia Khatun (33), who was in the institutional quarantine at Hasan Hotel in Jessore, died.
